About Michael Descher
Thank you for stopping by!
When I was 9 years old I met a friend of my father who was a photographer and also owned a camera store. I loved to talk with him, he gave me my first camera, taught me how to use it and told me to "look at the world". By the time I was 16, I was on the school newspaper, yearbook staff, and working for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner as a freelancer. Basically I was hooked!
I continued my fascination with photography which lead me to explore computers and film scanners back in the early 1980's. That led me to be hired by Apple Computer, then Adobe as a digital imaging business development manager where I got to work with many famous world class photographers making the switch from film to digital. What a ride it was!
Currently living in Williamsburg, VA. I continue to shoot and help others to learn the art and beauty of photography. You may see me at a local craft or art fair...if so, please stop and say hello!
All of my images are available for sale in many sizes and on paper, canvas, metal, glass and acrylic. If you see something you like, just let me know and I will do what I can to share my work with you!
Keep Exploring!
